Howdy to all, just an update today. After leaving the North Pole last Wed. I have not seen the Sun more than 2 hours all total. From Thurs. evening until Sunday AM, I parked about 30 miles out in Denali park, with no hook ups, rained the whole time with lows in high 30's and highs in high 40's. Lots of mud. I made one trip all the way back into the park on the shuttle buss, not much to see in those conditions. The animals were staying put and no birds not flying, except the gulls. I did see one Grizzly bear with her cub and some Rabbits. I moved into Riley camp, at the entrance of Denali, Sunday AM and will be leaving tomorrow AM, Friday. As good as my new solar sys is, it has just been keeping up with no Sunshine. The furnace has been running day & night, and with lights, yes it is getting dark earlier, and the water pump, there is not enough power to use the computer for pictures. They will have to come later. My Canadian friend, Digby McLean, which I met in Livingston, is up here and brought a Birthday cake with him. Thank you Digby. Tomorrow I will be heading back down toward the coastal areas and exploring some of the side trips along the way. It sure would be great to have some Sunshine and get some good photos along the way. I am still hopeful it will happen. >>>>>LATER<<<<<

I have res. inside the park for 22nd 23rd, 24th to celebrate my big 70 birthday, CHEERS. I will be posting again when I have wi-fi to get online. Weather forecast for the next week is 59-62 day and 48-51 night, with rain showers everyday. Burrrrrrrr! No photos today. >>>>>LATER<<<<<

Howdy once again, I finally have wi-fi back. I am still at the North Pole and the wi-fi sys went out for several days. The reason I am still here is my tags have EXPIRED! Hopefully they will be here the first to the middle of the week. In Georgia they expire on your birthday, in Texas they expire the last day of month before your birthday. I knew that. DUHH! Old habits are hard to break. Never the less, I have been enjoying myself, sleeping, resting, reading, shooting a few pictures, and working on pictures. Now I'm ready to travel.
I am dedicating this post to my Niece, Lynda Hall, who lost her husband Max, this past weekend after a long battle with cancer, and to their daughters, Laura, Allison, and Madison. Just a very small token to say "I love you".
To all who have posted comments, "thank you", they were very nice. I have posted a few more photos below, just picked at random. I will not label each one this time, just enjoy each one for what you see. Any questions send me an email. >>>>>LATER<<<<<

Howdy, I am still trying to figure out this site, so please bare with me, I'll get it all on in some form or another. The photo above is of Bridelvail falls, on the way to Valdez.
This photo is also on the way to Valdez.
This one, above (all captions will be below the photo), was shot from the tour boat at Seward. The snow melting is where the water comes from.
I really had high hopes of getting a shot like this. It felt good to get a good one. It was a small hump back whale, but, I'm not complaining.
There was a strong wind blowing from the back of this Eagle that made it's feathers stand up. I walked 180 degrees around this 20 foot pole from the Eagle's back to front at about 10 feet away and it only looked at me once. Awesome bird up close.
This was our view for 3 days in Seward.
Ty and derek looking at that view. Check out that clean trailer, Ty washed it for me, while I was washing clothes, as my birthday present. Thank you again Ty.
View from back of the boat that we went out on. Very nice.
This is a boat like the one we were on, viewed from our camp spot.
A good photo of Ty and Brenda, standing in front of Horsetail falls near Valdez. we had a great time traveling together, saw some great sights, and eat some good food that Brenda prepared. Some guy gave Brenda two big fresh salmon, for charging his cell phone battery, and although she had never cooked fresh salmon before, she did a great job with it. Thanks Brenda. >>>>>LATER<<<<<
